Ilene M. Steinmeyer, age 87, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, passed away June 17, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System–Red Cedar in Menomonie. Ilene was born on October 4, 1938, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Reuben and Iona (Wilder) Siewert. She attended Jobs School through the eighth grade and later graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School. She was united in marriage to Paul Steinmeyer and together they had three children. Virgil D. Bundy, age 94, of Elmwood, WI, passed away on June 2, 2026, at Welcome Home Assisted Living in Elmwood, WI. He was born on September 26, 1932, to Merle and Gladys (DeLong) Bundy in Eau Galle, WI. He grew up in the Eau Galle area. He went to grade school in Eau Galle and attended Durand High School. Kathleen E. Rugland
Kathleen Ellen Rugland, 75, of Menomonie, WI passed away peacefully with family present on May 17, 2026 after recently receiving a devastating cancer diagnosis. Born on March 23, 1951 in St. Paul MN to Donald and Phyllis Shanahan, Kathi spent her early childhood in St. Paul before moving to Roseau, MN where she graduated from high school. Mabel Tainter window restoration project
Our most recent restoration project is underway! If you've been inside The Mabel, you'll probably recognize the gorgeous memorial stained glass windows for Mabel, Andrew, and Bertha Tainter. With time, they have started to bow and take on some expected wear, so it was time to get them back in tip-top shape. Japanese Folding Fan Painting Workshop
Join us for a fun workshop where we’ll paint folding fans! Learn about the history of Japanese folding fans (sensu) and decorate your own to take home.
