Council delays Ward 9 alderperson appointment
At the January 20th meeting, the Menomonie City Council voted to delay appointing a replacement for the vacant Ward 9 alderperson seat, opting instead to open the position to interested residents. Ward 9 Council Member Sydney Brennen officially resigned effective January 9, 2026, after moving out of the ward. Mayor Randy Knaack proposed appointing former Ward 9 Alderperson Chad Schlough to complete the remainder of the term, which runs through April 2027. Schlough was the pre

WI Supreme Court In-Person Interviews: Maria Lazar - Feb. 4th
Wisconsin voters will elect a new Supreme Court Justice on April 7, 2026. Event co-sponsors are the UW–Stout's Menard Center , Community Conversations of Northwest Wisconsin, and the League of Women Voters-St. Croix Valley Chapter. Water main break
City crews are responding to a water main break at 3rd Street West & 19th Avenue West. Please see the graphic attached to this post for the area affected and road closures. Crews are currently working to get the leak under control before repairs begin. Residents in the surrounding neighborhood may experience no water, low water pressure, or discolored water during this time. Service will be restored as soon as possible today.
