MAKE IT! Schedule
November 6: Build a Race Car Build a “Rassbach Racer” or a “Fulton’s Formula 1” car of your own. Pick out a car from the showroom, test it out on the track, and customize it with paint and decals. Local Boy Scouts will be your pit crew to ensure a successful finish to the winner’s circle. Let’s race!
November 13: Paper Plate Polyhedron Polyhedrons (Greek word meaning "many faces”) are solid figures with many plane faces, typically more than six. Using paper plates, you can create a multi-sided geometric sculpture to decorate your room, or toss around! This hands-on activity helps develop fine motor skills, spatial reasoning, and an understanding of geometric concepts like polygons and polyhedra.
November 20: Squishy Circuits Squish and sculpt as you explore some simple electrical circuitry. Use conductive and resistant play-doh to build electronic sculptures that light up, move, and make sounds. You can make purely functional “wire” to conduct the electricity or create artistic sculptures. But when these two combine, you’ve found the sweet spot between art, science and technology.
November 27: Thanksgiving There will be no Make It! Thursday activities this week.
