Tyler was born on May 31, 1985, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was the son of Charles Hartung and Mary Jane (Brunner) Duke, and brother of Erin (Hartung) Soules. On Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at about 1210pm the Dunn County Communication Center received a call about a plane that had crashed in the area of Boundary Rd. North of Sth 170, Hay River Township, Dunn County.
