Downtown Bingo at The Abbey Pub & Grub - August 6th
It is Downtown Bingo again at the Pub (The Abbey Pub & Grub)! August 6th at 6pm. Gerald "Jerry" Retz
Gerald “Jerry” Retz, 81, of Boyceville, WI passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on August 2, 2026, and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior. Jerry was born on June 5, 1945, in Boyceville, where he was raised and spent most of his life. He proudly served his country in Vietnam, trained as an electrician, owned and operated an agricultural equipment business, and later concluded his career in agricultural equipment sales in Menomonie. Tyler C. Hartung, age 41 of Menomonie, Wisconsin, passed unexpectedly on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire due to natural causes. Tyler was born on May 31, 1985, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was the son of Charles Hartung and Mary Jane (Brunner) Duke, and brother of Erin (Hartung) Soules. Plane crash in Town of Hay River injures two
On Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at about 1210pm the Dunn County Communication Center received a call about a plane that had crashed in the area of Boundary Rd. North of Sth 170, Hay River Township, Dunn County. The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, Dunn County First Responders, Boyceville Fire Department, Glenwood City Ambulance, Menomonie Fire and Ambulance, and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene.
