Mustang boys basketball wins sectional semi-final, sectional final set for March 14th

Update: the boys won the semifinal game on Thursday night by defeating the New Richmond Tigers. The following is from the MHS announcements. Menomonie Mustangs Boys Basketball Team Got it Done last night defeating New Richmond 83-77 and advanced to the Sectional Final on tomorrow with the winner advancing to State! Leading the way for the Mustangs was Tyler Nelson scoring 20 points and Jake Rue 17 points. The Mustangs will be playing West Salem at Arcadia High School.

Kendra Ann Kostman, age 78, of Boyceville, WI passed away peacefully at home March 9th, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. Kendra was born June 1, 1947 to Theodore and Marjorie (Hill) Zielsdorf. She was a graduate of Glenwood High School, Glenwood City, WI. After graduation Kendra went to work for St. Paul Fire and Marine in St Paul. Annette E. Nelson, 80, of Menomonie, WI passed away of unexpectedly of natural causes at her home Thursday, March 5, 2026. Annette was born November 18, 1945 in Menomonie, WI to William and Julia (Kirby) Werner. She grew up in the Menomonie area and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1963. After many years, she retired from her work at the Menomonie School District. In retirement she found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved making cards and quilting. Sh

Anna Jean Voldberg, 24, of Menomonie, left us unexpectedly on February 18th, leaving a space in our lives that can never be filled. Anna was so many things to the people who loved her; a daughter who brought warmth into every room, a sister who could make you laugh even on the hardest days, a fiancée who dreamed of a beautiful future, and a friend who showed up with her whole heart. She had a gentle spirit, a giving nature, and a way of making others feel seen and supported.
