SDMA summer school and meal program closed July 16th & 17th
UPDATE: SDMA Remains Closed on July 17, 2026 According to today's press release from the City of Menomonie, the Boil/Bottle Water Advisory will continue until at least Friday, July 17. All SDMA schools will be closed on July 17, 2026. There will be no summer school programming, transportation, meal services, or Boys & Girls Club/Y Club offerings allowed in SDMA schools. Wakanda Waterpark Sensory Swim - July 20th
We will have Sensory Swim Hours on Monday, July 20th from 10:30am - 12:00pm. Admission is $6/person for anyone entering the facility. City provides update on water system
The City of Menomonie is providing the following update regarding the water system: The City appreciates the steps that users have taken to reduce water consumption. City crews worked overnight to maintain flow from the wells and booster pumps to the elevated water towers. All three elevated water towers are approximately one-third full as of 7:00am, and climbing. Based upon the water levels in the elevated towers, all portions of the water system have water pressure. Transit Style Bus 502 is helping out on the community route today (Wednesday, July 15th) with an antifreeze line going out on another bus! Please disregard the STOUT ROUTE verbiage at the top of bus, it will be removed at end of day. Community route magnet is next to the entrance door. City distributing free water - July 16th
The City will be distributing free bottled water to city residents who are experiencing low water pressure. City of Menomonie residents can pick up water at the City of Menomonie Community Services Shop at 621 11th Ave West (near the Hwy 29 bridge over the Red Cedar River) on Thursday, July 16, from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
