Built on Mentorship: New Culver’s Opens in Menomonie on May 18th
A second Culver’s is set to open in north Menomonie, with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for May 18th at 9:30 a.m. The new restaurant is a partnership between Stout Road owners Michael and Cassie Dehne and 27-year-old Wesley Thompson, who is participating in the Culver’s Franchise Mentoring Program. Menomonie Athletic Booster Club donates $28,000 to MHS athletics
The Menomonie Athletic Booster Club donated $28,000 to the Menomonie High School Athletic Department during the annual Evening with the Coaches fundraising event held March 28 at Stout Craft Co. The event featured a trivia competition among teams representing varsity sports at MHS, with the winning team earning $1,000 for its program. This year’s winners represented the boys golf team. Blue Devils Remove Interim Tag, Name Webb Head Coach

William Hansen, Jr.
William “Bill” Charles Hansen, Jr., 81, Menomonie, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire. Bill was born February 5, 1945 in Irvington, WI, a son of the late William, Sr. and Orpah (Hill) Hansen. At the age of two, the family moved to N. Menomonie. Bill graduated from Menomonie High School and went on to pursue several vocations. He ultimately took a position at UW-Stout where he spent nearly 40 years. Throughout his life, Bill was
