Wakanda Park has changed significantly over the past few years, and now there’s a new map to help visitors explore it all! Eight pickleball courts, a tennis court, and a full-size basketball court with side hoops were built in an underutilized green space. Two mini ballfields were built for baseball, softball, pitchball, and t-ball. Approximately 50 teams utilize city ballfields, so adding the mini fields helped open up other fields for older age levels. New batting cages have also been installed at various fields within Wakanda Park. Those cages have 13 hitting bays and 7 soft-toss sections. Before the upgrades, the park only had three hitting bays and no soft toss sections. From the City of Menomonie Facebook page.
