Mock crash simulation at MHS - Sept. 18th

ree

On September 18 at 9:20 AM, Menomonie High School’s HOSA (Future Health Professionals) will be presenting a Mock Crash Simulation for our junior and senior students at Menomonie High School. This event is designed to educate students about the serious and potentially fatal consequences of drinking and driving.

The simulation will feature a staged car crash involving student actors, and will include a full emergency response from: Menomonie Fire & Police Departments, Mayo Clinic, The Mayo 1 Helicopter (pending availability), Local funeral service providers (Olson Funeral Home and Rhiel Funeral Home), and others in the community following the simulation students will hear from speakers sharing their experiences as a result of what the crash would bring for the families affected.

We are incredibly grateful to the many local businesses and community agencies that have volunteered their time and resources to help make this impactful learning experience possible.

This may be an opportunity to have an open conversation with your child about safe and responsible driving, the influence of peer pressure, and making smart choices.

If you see emergency vehicles coming into the high school, know it is just a simulation.
