Menomonie Varsity Dance Team earns trip to State

The Menomonie Varsity Dance Team is officially State Bound, and their journey there has been nothing short of remarkable.

Through months of hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to one another, the team secured its place at the WACPC State Dance Competition following a strong regular season showing. Most recently, the team earned 3rd Place Overall at the Big Rivers Conference Competition, followed by an impressive performance at Regionals with a 4th Place finish in Pom and a 2nd Place finish in Hip Hop. These results are a testament not only to talent, but to resilience.

This season has asked more of this team than most. Along the way, they faced significant adversity - teammates stepping away, injuries disrupting routines, and constant challenges that required them to adapt and regroup. Time and again, just as one obstacle was cleared, another appeared. Instead of fracturing, this team leaned in. They climbed every mountain together.

What has set this group apart is their deep care for one another. They showed up,

not just to practice, but for each other. They filled gaps, encouraged through setbacks, and refused to let circumstances define their ceiling. Their success this season is built on trust, unity, and a shared belief that they are stronger together.

Despite the setbacks and opposition, what this team has accomplished is incredible. Their path to State reflects the heart of the program: grit, teamwork, and a relentless commitment to excellence.

To celebrate this achievement, the Menomonie community is invited to a Community Send-Off as the team departs for State.

Location: Exiting school north on 5th, east on 11th, and south on Broadway

 Friday, February 6th


The team will then head to La Crosse to compete at State.

The Menomonie Varsity Dance Team has already made their families, fans, school and community proud. State is the next chapter - and they’re heading there together.
