Helen Marie Steves (Clayton) Carlson
Helen Marie was born on March 22, 1942, at the Menomonie Hospital to Rosella Topdahl (Steves) Cowell and Vincent Steves. After a long illness, Helen, age 83, of Elmwood, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Dunn County Highway Department announces major 2026 road repair and reconstruction plan
The Dunn County Highway Department is preparing for an extensive program of road repairs and reconstruction in 2026, following County Board approval of additional borrowing to fund the initiative. Lawrence (Larry) Berger, age 72, passed away on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at Comforts of Home Advanced Memory Care in Menomonie. He was born on August 4, 1953, in Menomonie, WI, to Clarence Berger and Sidone (Schill). He grew up in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1971. Helen C. Larson age 85 of Menomonie, died Thursday December 4, 2025, at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie. Helen was born January 13, 1940, in Menomonie. She was the daughter of Arthur and Marguerite (Dunn) Thorson and grew up in Menomonie. Helen graduated from Menomonie High School in 1958. After high school, Helen worked as Personnel Float, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. In 1970, she returned to Menomonie and began working at the University of Wisconsin
