Judy M. Krueger, age 78, of Boyceville, WI, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at her home.
She was born on August 27, 1947, in Coy, Wilcox County, Alabama, to Robert and Mrytle (Dinger) Porter. While growing up, she lived in Alabama, South Dakota, and later graduated in San Diego, CA.
In 1977, Judy graduated from the Pacific College of Medical and Dental Assistants program and worked most of her career as a medical assistant and later in billing and coding, retiring from Baldwin Medical Center around 2007- 2008. She was a mother to three children, David, Tammy, and Kaydie. In 2004, she married the love of her life, Leonard Krueger, on December 4. Their blended family now included Denise, Anita, Vicki, Jerry, Buzz, and many grandchildren. She was a loving mother and wife and very kind and thoughtful to those in her life. While her time wasn’t always easy due to chronic pain and health issues, she tried to stay optimistic and make the most of it. She loved to craft, make cards, sew and quilt, scrapbook, crochet and knit, take pictures, gardening, go to craft shows, and quilt expos. She will be greatly missed. We find solace in knowing she is no longer suffering or in pain and is now at peace.
Judy is survived by her husband, Lennie Krueger; daughters, Kaydie (Cole Zimmermann) McMahon and Tammy (Tim) Hiben; son, David (Lance Santin) Miller; stepdaughters, Denise (Halden) Hahn, Vicki (Dan) Lauersdorf, Anita (Gene) Horras; stepsons, Jerry (Noelle) Krueger and Buzz Krueger. Granddaughter Holly (Brett) Biederman and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Jim Porter, and other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Myrtle Porter; Aunt Elaine Culvert (Hiles); brothers Bud, Chuck, Earnie, and Don Hiles; and Grandson Chazz Layton Hiben.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, WI, with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held an hour before the service, and lunch will follow.
