Menomonie Public Library Earns 2026 Friends of Forestry Award
This morning, we were lucky to celebrate Arbor Day in beautiful spring weather as we presented the Friends of Forestry Award to the Menomonie Public Library! 300 Trees Planted at Phalen Park
300 new trees are taking root at Phelan Park. The City of Menomonie’s Urban Forestry Board recently led a tree planting effort at Phelan Park, in collaboration with UW–Stout students and faculty. Together, volunteers planted 300 saplings to help replace invasive buckthorn and honeysuckle that was removed by Dr. Keith Gilland and his students.
