Did You Know? Did you know that the Dunn County Jail has a Risk (Harm) Reduction vending machine in the lobby? The machine was purchased with a Vivent grant in January of this year and is regularly being used by our community members. The vending machine is stocked with Narcan, hygiene kits, Fentanyl test kits, summer socks, pregnancy test kits, mosquito repellent wrist bands, emergency blankets, gun locks, laundry detergent packets, electrolyte packets, and so much more. Tyler C. Hartung, age 41 of Menomonie, Wisconsin, passed unexpectedly on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire due to natural causes. Tyler was born on May 31, 1985, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was the son of Charles Hartung and Mary Jane (Brunner) Duke, and brother of Erin (Hartung) Soules. Jean Marie Retz, age 80, of Boyceville, WI went home to her heavenly father on July 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on a naval base in Oakland, California, and grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. She began her career as an X-ray technician before marrying the love of her life, Gerald Retz, on May 14th, 1983.
