Machelle Ann Radtke, 61, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on March 23, 2026. Born on March 9, 1965, to Robert and Suzanne Radtke, Chelley was raised in Elmwood, Wisconsin, and graduated from Elmwood High School in 1983. City of Menomonie nearing completion of removing boulevard trees impacted by emerald ash borer.
After years of work, the City of Menomonie is nearing completion of removing boulevard trees impacted by emerald ash borer. So far this year, crews have removed over 240 trees, with just 8 boulevard ash trees remaining. Once those are completed, removal of ash trees along boulevards will be finished. Tree removals include not only ash trees affected by emerald ash borer, but also trees that are storm-damaged or in declining condition. What happens next? Replacement tree plan

Kent "Radar" Cran
Kent “Radar” Cran, age 62, of Wheeler, WI died unexpectedly Saturday, March 28, 2026, at his home. He was born August 21, 1963 in Eau Claire, WI to Lew and Lynda (Glenz) Cran. He grew up in the Menomonie area and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1981. After High School, Radar joined the Army and attended basic training at Ft. Leonardwood in Missouri.
