Jacqueline “Jackie” Agatha (Vettori) Klinger, 89, of Glenwood City, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026 at Glenhaven nursing home surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Trimountain, Michigan to Attilio Vettori and Agatha (Bendry) Vettori; the 3rd of 4 daughters. Jackie attended High School in Cumberland, WI, graduating in 1956. She loved Cumberland for its beautiful waters, her stint on royalty, and her job at the drive-in on roller skates.
Jackie married William (Bill) James Klinger on December 27th, 1958 and eventually settled in Glenwood City, WI. They raised 6 children and as the years progressed they lovingly cared for their aging parents and in-laws. For 20 years she worked at Glenhaven and received many awards for perfect attendance. Jackie was an attentive friend, impressive bowler, incredible bingo player, generous hostess, and infamous personality easily found dancing or listening to karaoke at local celebrations.
Jackie will be remembered as a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents Tiggy and Aggie, husband Bill, and sisters; Joe Ann Vettori, Gail Wold Quinn, Marian Riveland Spaulding, in-laws James (Jim) & Nethalie (Sis) (Logghe) Klinger, and brother-in-law, Ronald Klinger.
She is survived by her 6 children; JoAnn Hammer (Chuck), Patty Hanson (Donny), Roger Klinger (Karrie), Jeff Klinger (Jennifer), Carol Klinger (Todd) and Todd Klinger, 15 grandchildren; Kourtney, Kody (Breena), Trish (Jake), Christopher (Kay), Logan, Jasmine, Savanna, John, Mica, Kaitlyn (Dakota), Winter, Matiya, Katie, Zebadiah, & Vettori, 6 great grandchildren; Paityn, Amelia, Stella, Rowen, Bella, and Kailer. Many nieces, nephews and countless souls who called her Mom.
She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Glenwood City, with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. The burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Pump House in Downing, WI following the services. Music and food will be served.
