Dunn County Veterans Memorial Bricks Available
The Community Foundation of Dunn County (CFDC) is currently accepting requests for new bricks for the Dunn County Veterans Memorial located at the intersection of 6th Ave. and Crescent Street in downtown Menomonie. The Bridge to Hope is looking for dedicated, reliable volunteers to join our on-call SANE volunteer team! On-call team members provide emotional support during the Sexual Assault Nurse Exam (SANE) process & offer useful resources to victims of sexual assault & their loved ones. Helen Marie was born on March 22, 1942, at the Menomonie Hospital to Rosella Topdahl (Steves) Cowell and Vincent Steves. Dunn County Highway Department announces major 2026 road repair and reconstruction plan
The Dunn County Highway Department is preparing for an extensive program of road repairs and reconstruction in 2026, following County Board approval of additional borrowing to fund the initiative. Local trails open for cross country skiing
The Red Cedar Trail and Hoffman Hills are open for cross-country skiing. Both places have been rolled. The volunteer groomers for the Red Cedar Trail plan to groom the trail this Wednesday (Dec. 10th). The trail is designated for skiing from Menomonie to Downsville. If the groomers have time, they will roll the trail south of Downsville to make walking easier. The volunteer groomers for Hoffman Hills will also likely be grooming this week.
