Wisconsin Partisan Primary Election - August 11th

The Wisconsin Partisan Primary is coming up on Tuesday, August 11th.
Wisconsin is an "open primary" state. You may only vote for candidates within one political party. Voters do not have to affiliate with a political party in advance in order to vote in the primary. Winners advance to the General Election on Tuesday, November 3rd.

DUNN COUNTY
There are five elected positions in Dunn County: Sheriff, Clerk of Court, County Clerk, Treasurer, and Register of Deeds. They are elected to four-year terms with a two-year rotation. This year it is the Sheriff and Clerk of Court, and in 2028 it will be the County Clerk, Treasurer, and Register of Deeds.

WISCONSIN STATE LEGISLATURE
The Wisconsin State Legislature is composed of the Wisconsin State Senate (upper house) and the Wisconsin State Assembly (the lower house). There are 33 Senate Districts and 99 Assembly Districts. There are three Assembly Districts in each Senate District.
In our area, Senate District 23 includes Assembly Districts 67, 68, and 69; Senate District 31 includes Assembly Districts 91, 92, and 93; and Senate District 10 includes Assembly Districts 28, 29, and 30.
Assembly Districts that fall within Dunn County are: 67, 92, 93, and 28.
Members of the Senate are elected to a four-year term. Half of the Senate is elected every two years. This year, the odd-numbered districts are up for election.
Members of the Assembly are elected to two-year terms. Elections take place in even-numbered years with all seats up for election.
State Senate District 23 and Assembly District 67 include: the Villages of Boyceville, Colfax, Ridgeland, and Wheeler and the Townships of Colfax, Grant, Hay River, New Haven, Otter Creek, Sand Creek, Sheridan, Sherman, and Tainter.
