Notes for the Week - May 16th

Save the Date: National Night Out is coming up on August 6th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Public safety displays, vehicle displays, kids' activities, food trucks, music, and more will be at Wilson Park.

Oakleaf announced that they will be opening a clinic in Menomonie in the former Prevea building at 2919 Stout Road. Here's a clip from WEAU with more information.

A reminder that Wilson Creek Inn has reopened for business.

Stepping Stones relies on volunteers for the many services it provides and is always looking for more people to help. If you are interested in volunteering, follow THIS LINK for more information.

This month's display at the Menomonie Public Library.

Share by the Dunn County Historical Society: We had a visit from author Ron Arthur this morning! He dropped off copies of his new book "White Pine & Red Cedar" which explores the role of Red Cedar Lake in Knapp-Stout's White Pine Empire, and the life and times of one of the era's most successful Lumber Barons. It has wonderful old photographs and maps on almost every page. You can purchase the book at the Rassbach Museum's gift shop.

From a Facebook post: Every June, the Alliance of Dunn County Conservation and Sports Clubs, along with the Dunn County Fish and Game Club, hold a Disabled Fishing Event on Lake Menomin. This event takes a small army of volunteers, led by Scott Sinz. We could use 3-4 more pontoon boats for this year's event. Event insurance is provided for volunteers. If you can provide a pontoon boat on June 7th '24, please contact us. You can message Scott Sinz, Doug Dominick, the Dunn County Fish & Game or the Alliance to get more information.
