Myrna G. Jain of Elk Mound, WI quietly went home with her heavenly Father, early Thursday morning.

She was born in Eau Claire WI to Philip R. Oas and Eleanor J. Oas on October 19, 1934. She grew up in the village of Elk Mound WI, in the "big green house by the hill", right next to where the middle school now sits.

She met the love of her life when the Amy school joined with the Elk Mound School, and Merrill Jain was given her desk and she had to move. She went to Stout for a year, then went to work in an insurance office in the twin cities, while she dated Merrill. They were married in Minneapolis MN on October 23 1954. Together they raised six children. Myrna went back to school when she was 40 years old and got an associates degree in medical transcription, after which she started a career as a medical secretary at the Middlfort clinic in Eau Claire, where she worked for 20+ years, before retiring. Myrna attended Amy Chapel Most of her life where she loved teaching the youngest Sunday school class for many years.

She is survived by:

Two sisters: Nadine Schlough, Sandra Johnson of Menomonie WI Five sons: Daniel, Randal, Peter Jain of Elk Mound, Thomas Jain of Eau Claire, Rodger Jain of New Hope MN. ONE daughter: Dianne Jain of Wausau WI She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Merrill Jain, parents Phillip and Eleanor Oas, her brother Clifford Oas, and her sister Phylis Oas.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. noon Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Amy Chapel with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Cedar Falls Cemetery following service with a lunch at the church.
