Celebrating the Life of Lynda Louise Swenson

Lynda Louise Swenson, age 82, of Connorsville, Wisconsin, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

Lynda lived life with an open heart, an adventurous spirit, and a legendary sense of humor. A proud Green Bay Packers shareholder, she found immense peace and joy in nature, whether she was tending to her beloved cows, watching her bluebirds in the yard, or nurturing her beautiful gardens. An outdoorswoman at heart, she loved the thrill of hunting and the freedom of going for 4-wheeler rides across the countryside.

Her home was always filled with warmth, the comforting aroma of her incredible cooking, and an abundance of laughter. Lynda was famously known for her quick wit and her ability to find joy in any situation—especially when she would laugh at her husband, Stub, whenever he stubbornly injured himself trying to get things done. She was the undisputed master of April Fool’s Day practical jokes, always keeping her family on their toes and ensuring that life was never taken too seriously.

Above all, Lynda was guided by her deep faith and her devotion to her church community. Her greatest legacy, however, is her family, whom she loved unconditionally and fiercely.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Gary "Stub"; children Brent Swenson, Cory (Sara) Swenson, and Kevin (Renee) Swenson; grandchildren Sawyer (Kali) Swenson, Brock (Jacky) Swenson, Wyatt (Melissa) Swenson, Katie Swenson, and Angelo Schumacher; and 1 great-grandchild, Boone Swenson. She is further survived by her brother, Kenny (Kris) Carlsrud, and many loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Lucille; her brother, Alan Carlsrud; and two infant sisters.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, Wisconsin. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating.

In honor of her joyful spirit, the family asks that you bring your favorite memory of Lynda to share.
