Mary L. Mondlock

Mary Louise Mondlock, age 32, passed away on August 4, 2026, in Roseville, Minnesota. She was born on April 21, 1994, in Menomonie, Wisconsin, where her love for music and the performing arts first took root.

From an early age, Mary had an extraordinary talent for singing, dancing, and acting. Her radiant smile, infectious spirit, and unmistakable voice captivated audiences and brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her. As a young performer, she also had the honor of singing the National Anthem before a Minnesota Twins game.

Mary attended Menomonie High School and the Interlochen Center for the Arts before earning her Bachelor's Degree in Musical Theatre from the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Performing Arts. Her passion for the stage led her to New York City, where she pursued a professional career in musical theatre, performing in numerous productions. She later traveled the world as a lead vocalist aboard Holland America cruise ships, sharing her remarkable talent with audiences across the globe.

Mary first met her love, Josh Salt, during childhood. Although life took them in different directions, they reconnected years later, and what began as a reunion quickly became an extraordinary love story. Mary moved across the country to be with Josh, and the two eloped just six months later in a spontaneous ceremony at the iconic Field of Dreams movie site in Iowa. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, creativity, and unwavering support in the Twin Cities.

While Mary's accomplishments on stage were remarkable, they were only part of her story. She will be remembered most for her boundless kindness, quick wit, generous heart, and the way she made everyone around her feel seen, valued, and loved. She celebrated the successes of others as enthusiastically as her own and gave freely of her time, talents, and compassion.

Mary is survived by her love, Josh Salt; her loving parents, Rob and Amy Mondlock; her siblings, Amanda Mondlock (Daniel Arturo Vieira Luarte), Brandon (Jessica) Mondlock, and Jared (Allison) Mondlock; and many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and fellow performers whose lives were forever enriched by knowing and loving her.

A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts in Menomonie, Wisconsin, on Saturday, August 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Although Mary's final curtain has fallen, her song lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Mary will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
