Susan A. Klatt, 64, of Wheeler, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

She was born on September 20, 1962, in Menomonie, WI, Susan was the daughter of Robert Klatt and Elsie (Noland). She grew up in Menomonie, graduating from Menomonie High School, and carried the values of small town life with her throughout the years.

Susan married Allen McDonough, and together they raised two children, Tanya and Jeremy. She was a proud mother and later an equally proud grandmother to Jayden, Gretchen, and Bethany. Susan found joy in the outdoors, especially fishing, and she never passed up a chance to sing during karaoke. Her love for animals was one of her defining traits—she cared for them with the same tenderness she showed the people in her life.

She is survived by her children, Tanya (Rocky) and Jeremy; her grandchildren, Jayden, Gretchen, and Bethany; and her long time partner, Melvin “Hooter” Carter.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Vehrs; her father, Robert Klatt; her sisters, Maxine and Irene Klatt; and many cherished aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
