Let's Paint the Town event cancelled for 2026

It is with heavy hearts that the Let’s Paint the Town Committee announces the cancellation of this year’s LPTT event scheduled for July 18 due to circumstances beyond our control.

LPTT began as a small downtown event that with the hard work of a few very dedicated committee members, Sylvia Gengenbach, Emilie Wiese, Mayor Randy Knaack, Public Works Director David Schofield, and Melissa Swenson of American Edge Real Estate, grew from that small beginning to an annual event bringing in over 5000 attendees plus over 100 craft and food vendors each summer.

We wish to thank the many organizations, businesses, and individuals who helped make this event possible: those businesses who provided the funding, those community members who volunteered their time and effort to make it all happen, the Ludington Guard Band and Veterans’ Color Guard who opened the event each year, the local musicians who provided entertainment, Rock ‘n Roll to Go who provided the bouncy houses, and most importantly the craft and food vendors who participated each year and made LPTT a true community event. Thank you all for helping us provide a day when families could bring their children to the park for free and enjoy a day together.
