Jerome "Jerry" C. Wagner passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2025, following a stroke.

Jerry was raised in Menomonie, Wisconsin, and went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor's degree in Science. He later made his home in Amery, Wisconsin, where he built his life filled with close friends and his career.

He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for seven years before dedicating the next 46 years of his life to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a Game Warden in the Polk County area. His work reflected not only his love for the outdoors but also his deep commitment to protecting the land and the community he served so faithfully.

In addition to his long career, Jerry attained his CDL with the highest level of certifications, which gave him the opportunity to explore the country-something he greatly enjoyed.

Known to some as a man with a rough edge, those who truly knew Jerry saw a kind-hearted, unconditionally caring, and unexpectedly gentle soul. His life was defined by service-to his country, to his community, and to those around him in ways both big and small.

Jerry recommitted his life to the Lord, and we take comfort in knowing that he is now in God's glory, at peace and renewed in everlasting life.

He will be deeply missed by all who loved him, but his legacy of dedication, strength, and compassion will continue to live on in the lives he touched.
