Doris M. Sabatke

Doris M. Sabatke (née Wieman), age 101, of Menomonie, WI, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Menomonie.

Born on October 10, 1923, in Menomonie to Arthur Wieman and Blanche (Miller), Doris was raised on Stout Street in North Menomonie. Both the Wieman and Miller families were early pioneers in the Menomonie area, contributing to the community’s rich history.

On September 14, 1940, Doris married Lloyd M. Sabatke at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Glenwood City. Together they raised three children.

Doris is survived by her sons Wayne (Barb) Sabatke and Michael (Nancy) Sabatke, both of Eau Claire; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lloyd; her daughter Sharon; brothers Cliff, Lawrence, and Roger; and sisters Ruby and Marion.

A memorial event will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie on October 25 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, Wisconsin assisted the family with cremation.
