CFDC accepting applications for annual teacher mini-grants

The Community Foundation of Dunn County (CFDC) is now accepting applications for its annual Teacher Mini-Grant Program, open to faculty and staff across Dunn County school districts, including Boyceville, Colfax, Elk Mound, and Menomonie. Both public and private schools are eligible to apply. 

The program provides funding to public and private teachers, education support professionals, and staff for projects that enhance learning and boost academic achievement. Grants typically range from $400 to $1,500+ and are awarded annually.

What Can Be Funded

Eligible requests may include:

• Innovative projects that engage and motivate students to improve academic success

• Collaborative efforts between classes, schools, or with community organizations and businesses

• Tangible program materials that will continue serving the district beyond the grant period

Special Opportunity in Menomonie

Thanks to the Kari Jo Bostrom Memorial Fund, up to $1,000 is available each year for projects in the School District of the Menomonie Area (SDMA).

Eligible projects may include:

• History-related experiences or research projects

• Field trips to museums or veterans memorials

• Initiatives that immerse students in culture and the arts

Important Dates

• Application Deadline: November 1, 2026, by 4:00 p.m.

• Funding Decisions: Within 8 weeks of the deadline

• Funds Issued: Late December/early January, for projects scheduled in spring or fall of 2027

Please note: grant funding cannot be used for reimbursements.
