Announcing the 2026 Otto Bremer Community Responsive Fund Process for UW Valleys
UW Valleys is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 OBT Community Responsive Fund process. In partnership with the Otto Bremer Trust, United Way St. Croix and Red Cedar Valleys will continue to help direct critical funding to local nonprofits serving the six-county region. Nonprofits are invited to complete the eligibility assessment from May 1 until May 18, to be considered for an invitation to apply for funding through the OBT Community Responsive Fund at UW Valleys.

One deceased in accident on UW-Stout campus
Around 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, an individual identified as Mason Douglas Barth was discovered deceased on UW-Stout’s campus near Bowman Hall. Menomonie and Stout police were immediately dispatched to the scene. Judith M. O'Dell
Judith May O'Dell, born on April 6, 1937, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 88. She is survived by her nieces, Anne (Dennis) Volbrecht, Debby (Don) Johnson, Victoria (Mike) Arnold, Martha (Lee Clark) Brandly, and nephew, Steve (Cora) Brandly. She is also survived by grand and great-nieces and nephews.
