Construction to close segment of WIS 85 in Dunn County
Closure to be in place for up to 50 working days; traffic to be detoured via US 10, WIS 37 A segment of WIS 85 will be closed to through traffic at 7 a.m. Monday, April 27 as construction begins on a resurfacing project from just west of the north junction of County O to approximately 2,100 feet west of 1010th Street in Dunn County. Eau Claire man sentenced to 10 years for methamphetamine trafficking
Chadwick M. Elgersma, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Jason Bloedow, 41, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, was sentenced on April 8, 2026, by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 10 years in federal prison for possessing methamphetamine intended for distribution. Bloedow pleaded guilty to this charge on January 8, 2026. Catherine McIntyre (Snyder), age 98 of Wheeler, WI passed away April 2, 2026 at Dove Healthcare West, in Eau Claire, WI. Menomonie High School will hold the 2026 prom this Saturday, April 25th. The theme for the evening is "A Night with Gatsby". Members of the prom court have been revealed ahead of Saturday’s event.
