Virginia M. Cannon

Virginia M. Cannon, age 92, of Menomonie, WI passed away July 3, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.

Virginia was born October 24, 1932, to Dorothy Soulier in Park Falls, WI. When Virgina was 10 years old, her family moved to Menomonie. She graduated from Menomonie High School.

She had worked for a variety of different jobs including the old Health Care Center, Lakeside Canning Co, and Sandy Lee Manufacturing. She later worked at Holiday Inn and was a Nurses Aid in Eau Claire, WI where she retired from.

In 1953, Virginia married Virgil Bundy and together they had four children - two girls and two boys. Though they later divorced, Virginia remained devoted to her family. In 1972, she married James Cannon, a relationship that ended in divorce in 1982.

Virgina was very creative and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved coloring and working on various crafts, always keeping her hands busy. Card games brought her great happiness, especially playing with her friends Tammy and Cheri. She also enjoyed playing fetch with her beloved dog, Mongo. In her younger years, Virginia was an active member of the 400 Club, where she loved to dance and socialize.

Virgina is survived by children, Duane (Ruth) Bundy, Rick (Carrie) Bundy, Terry Hubbard, and Jeff (Jamie) Cannon, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by special friend Mary Claire.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Earl W. Van Deeventer daughter Pam, granddaughter Chandra Bundy, grandson Dustin Whittier.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI.
