Vance E. Grimm

Vance E. Grimm, 37 of Elk Mound, WI, passed away Monday August 17th 2026.

He was born August 6th, 1989 in Harlingen, TX to Keith and Guadalupe (Gonzalez) Grimm. He grew up in Elk Mound where he attended and graduated from Elk Mound High School.

Vance married Shyanda Konsela on July 15th 2015 in Elk Mound, WI. Together they shared 11 years of marriage and were blessed with two children, Matias Grimm (11) and Taliyah Grimm (3). Taliyah was born in England when Vance and Shyanda were stationed there, a special chapter in their lives and one of many places they experienced together. Vance also cherished his oldest daughter Lily Peleschak-Grimm (14) whom he shared with Rebecca Peleschak.

Vance loved traveling throughout Europe with his family and making memories through the places they visited with the people he loved. He took great pride in helping his dad make his European bucket list a reality, putting in countless hours and effort to help plan and make those experiences possible. Those travels created memories that both he and his dad will carry forever.

He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding happiness in the outdoors and the time spent with the people he loved outdoors. Above all, Vance treasured his children and the memories and experiences he created with his friends and family throughout his life.

Vance is survived by his wife, Shyanda of Elk Mound; his three children, Lily of Eau Claire, WI, Matias of Elk Mound, WI, and Taliyah of Elk Mound, WI; his parents, Keith and Guadalupe Grimm of Elk Mound; his brother, Ryan (Brent) Grimm of Elk Mound; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by both grandparents Faustino and Julia Gonzalez, Karl and Mildred Grimm and cousins Jose Vasquez, and Tammy Grimm.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, Wisconsin, followed by Military Honors performed by the Menomonie Veteran Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. prior to the service.
