Rube Goldberg Machine Makers

June 15 – 18  


Build a ridiculous chain reaction that does one simple job! Campers work in small teams to design and build Rube Goldberg machines within fun constraints.

​Age: Students entering 3rd through 8th grade

Cost: $100*  

Time: Monday – Thursday from 1:15 to 5 p.m.

 

* Limited scholarships are available for students enrolled in the School District of the Menomonie Area. Bus transportation is available for students attending the SDMA Summer School program. Drop-off at the museum is at 1:15 p.m.

​Build With Cardboard

July 6-9   


Turn cardboard into arcade games and wearable creations! Campers learn maker-style building techniques using corrugated material to create tabletop arcade machines or costume/prop builds.

​Age: Students entering 3rd through 8th grade

Cost: $100*  

Time: Monday – Thursday from 1:15 to 5 p.m.

LEGO FIRST Challenge

July 13-16   


Build, test and tackle missions like a real robotics team! Campers dive into a team-based LEGO challenge experience inspired by this year’s LEGO FIRST theme.

​Age: Students entering 3rd through 8th grade

Cost: $100*  

Time: Monday – Thursday from 1:15 to 5 p.m.

Sign Up: 

  1. Click the Zeffy link below. 

  2. Choose which camps your student will participate in. There are 20 scholarship spots per camp, and ten paid spots per camp. You must live within the School District of Menomonie to qualify for a scholarship spot for any of the camps.  The scholarships are first-come, first-served. You may sign up for more than one camp using a scholarship.  

  3. Once you sign up on Zeffy, you will receive an email from the museum requesting more detailed student information, including allergies and emergency contact information.
