Stacy M. Smith

Stacy Marie Smith, age 53, of Elk Mound, WI, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on August 8, 1972, in Menomonie, WI, to Gale and Janet (Shivley) Kistner. Stacy graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1991.

On June 13, 1997, Stacy married Ryan Smith in Eau Claire, WI. Together they built a beautiful life and raised four children.

Throughout her working career, Stacy held various jobs, including positions at Menards and a local mini mart. She was known for her strong work ethic and friendly spirit.

Stacy had a creative and adventurous soul. She enjoyed coloring, working on diamond art projects, riding ATVs and snowmobiles, and spending time outdoors. Her greatest joy came from being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ryan, and their children: Kyle (Sherlee) Smith, Kole (Kayla) Smith, Katelynn Smith (Scott Janvrin), and Kassandra Smith. Stacy was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, with one more on the way. She is also survived by her mother, Janet (Shivley) Kistner; siblings Carrie (Rod) Belch, Adam Kistner, and Dale Kistner (Stephanie Koss); as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Stacy was preceded in death by her father, Gale Kistner and close family friends Sara and Tara LeMay.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI.
