Scam alert from the Wisconsin State Patrol

SCAM ALERT: Text and e-mail scams pretending to be the Wisconsin DMV are circulating again. The recent wave of scams warns of an "outstanding traffic citation," unpaid balance repercussions and contains a fraudulent link to try and get individuals to pay for the fake violation.

The Wisconsin DMV will NEVER text or e-mail saying you owe money. If you receive one of these messages, do NOT click any links. Simply report the message as spam on your device and delete.
