Ronnie G. Hoyt, age 78, of Menomonie, WI passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at The Neighbors of Dunn County.
He was born October 30, 1946 in Menomonie to Galen and Elaine (Kuester) Hoyt. He grew up in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School. After high school, Ronnie joined the Navy. He worked at Presto and then worked as a mechanic at Kuester’s Auto/Connell’s Automotive Center in Menomonie until he retired.
In 1970 he met the love of his life Judy Hannack, of Spring Valley and in September of 1971 they were married. They had two children. Ronnie enjoyed fishing in his free time, in particular, he loved ice fishing with his brothers. He also enjoyed cruising Lake Menomin on his pontoon boat and the roads in a Ford Thunderbird convertible.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Judy of Menomonie, daughter, Diane (Brian) Tremelling of Hudson, son, Joseph (Sara) Hoyt of Chippewa Falls. He is also survived by his mother, Elaine (Galen) Hoyt of Menomonie, four grandchildren, Madeline and Miles (Diane) and Matthew and Andrew (Joseph), brothers, John (Charlene) Hoyt, Skip (Colleen) Hoyt, and Scott (Rebecca) Hoyt, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father Galen Hoyt, brother, Thomas Hoyt, and nephew Bradley Hoyt.
There will not be a formal service per Ronnie’s wishes.
