Peggy Lark, an irreplaceable wife, mother, sister, and grandmother was given her angel wings on July 16, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.
Peggy was born on June 13, 1957 to Bill and Dorothy Knops (McDonald). She was raised in the Menomonie area with her 8 sisters and 3 brothers. On December 30, 1982 she married the love of her life and best friend, Phillip Lark. From that union they had two daughters, Leah and Kyah.
Family was everything to Peggy. She loved spending time with her husband, brothers, sisters, daughters, and her two grandchildren. She retired early from her long time job at Dunn County to watch and help raise her grandchildren. She also loved to read, so much that when she and Phil built their dream house in 1996, she requested custom bookshelves built to line the walls of the upstairs loft. She had a memory for every little thing, loved a good crossword puzzle or word find, loved jigsaw puzzles (and passed that love on to her daughter and granddaughter) and could (and would) happily whoop your butt in a game of cribbage.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 43 years Phil, daughters Leah (Travis) Hartung and Kyah Lark, grandchildren Zack (Paige Auth) and Rylee Hartung, her beloved dog Golly and newest protector Cleo. Brothers and sisters Joann (John) Einum, Dian (Dean) Larson, Pat (Steve) Solveson, Bill (Terry) Knops, Bob (Dawn) Knops, Kathy Berger, Karen Vail, Rita Delong (friend Dale), Lisa (Jeff) Larson, Tim (Trisha) Knops, and Tammy (Randy) Eckert. Brothers- and sisters-in-law Tracy (Kelly) Lark, Susan (Ty) Krings, Jolene Lark, and Cathy Jo Finley. And many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Dorothy Knops, mother and father-in-law Charles and Betty Lark, and brother-in-law Bob Delong.
Those that were blessed to love and be loved by her will hold her forever in our hearts — an unmatched soul with an unlimited capacity for love and a quiet strength like no other.
Peggy’s celebration of life will be at Cedarbrook Church on Thursday July 24, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Kyle Gunderson officiating, with visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. A private burial to follow at a later date.
Please join us in wearing royal blue for the service as it was Peggy’s favorite and she looked beautiful in it.
Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI is serving the family.
