Opportunity for Public Comment on Data Center District Zoning Updates - March 9th

The City of Menomonie values the strong civic engagement in our community. We have heard questions and concerns regarding possible future data center projects and appreciate residents taking the time to stay informed, share feedback, and participate in public meetings. In response, the City is opening a Public Comment Opportunity prior to preparing revisions to the Data Center (I-4) District Zoning.

Your feedback will help City Staff understand what topics matter most to residents and what potential impacts should be considered. Public Comments can be made until Monday, March 9, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. using the Google Form linked here: https://forms.gle/iawWhPosN5mbSsvy9.

Once the Public Comment Opportunity has closed, City Staff will review Public Comments received and draft proposed updates to the Data Center (I-4) District Zoning. The proposed draft updates will then be considered by the City Council for possible introduction and referral to the Plan Commission. The Plan Commission will review and consider making a recommendation regarding the draft proposed updates to the City Council. If recommended, a Public Hearing will be held at a City Council meeting, and the City Council will then consider adoption of the draft proposed updates to the Data Center (I-4) District Zoning.

In addition to this Public Comment Opportunity, residents may attend City Council and Plan Commission meetings to speak during Public Comment or Public Hearings. Agendas are posted on the City of Menomonie website at https://www.menomonie-wi.gov/129/Agendas-Minutes.

Individuals may also call City Hall during business hours at 715-232-2221 to complete a form over the phone, or pick up a printed form at City Hall, 800 Wilson Ave, to submit in person or email to communications@menomonie-wi.gov.

The City remains committed to strengthening transparency and communication in service to the community, and your engagement supports thoughtful and informed decision-making for Menomonie’s future.
