Notes for the Week - October 19th

The Caribou Coffee north of I-94 closed this week. The last day it was open was Tuesday, October 17th. According to a post on Facebook that appeared to be from an employee, it was not profitable enough to keep open, especially with another store down the road.

The Dunn County ADRC just received a large donation of medium Prevail Daily Underwear. Free and first come first serve - stop in at the ADRC 3001 US Hwy 12 E Menomonie.

You may have noticed that the Notable Calls post from the Menomonie Police Department hasn't been up in several weeks. These were put together by Brenna Jasper, Crime Prevention Specialist. Brenna left the MPD about a month ago. I hope her replacement will continue with these.

Menomonie's Haunted Hillside was featured on WEAU this week. Watch the clip HERE.

Here's a LINK to a story found on the Grain Bin's website. It is about Lake Family Farms located in Boyceville.

Maurices is having a fashion show on Friday, November 3rd at 5:30pm. Come early for snacks and prizes. After the show enjoy an additional 15% off everything in store (even sale items). They are still looking for models, both girls and women. Stop at the store if interested.

Recently America's Best Restaurants was in Menomonie doing a feature story on Wilson Creek Inn. They are back this week doing a story on Ted's Pizza. Stories will appear on the America's Best Restaurants YouTube Channel. For a listing of the best restaurants in Wisconsin, check their website.

In June a Menomonie Police Department squad was hit by a drunk driver. The media release can be found HERE. The body cam/ dash cam footage is up on YouTube. You can watch it HERE. WARNING - it's graphic and there is some swearing.
