Notes for the week - May 18th


The Center for Independent Living is beginning a new music program for individuals with disabilities. They are looking for donations of the following items: musical instruments (used or new), music books and materials, or any other music-related items. All donations are appreciated. Please contact Julie if are interested in helping, at juliec@cilww.com.


 

On Wednesday morning the Menomonie Fire Department asked the public to avoid the intersections and sidewalks around 604 Wilson Avenue, Cedar Corp. WEAU reported that workers found damage in the building Tuesday morning. Overnight an interior beam fell and collapsed onto the first floor. No one was hurt in the incident.


 

The Thread Lab has a new owner. Kris Isaacson will take over on June 1st. The name is being changed to The Fiber Lab.


 

Save the Date - National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, August 1st at 6pm.


 

The Red Cedar Film Festival is scheduled for July 20-24th. Find a recent article by Volume One about the festival here.

Another Save the Date - Keyes Chevrolet's Corvette Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, August 12th. The silent auction and raffle benefit the Boys and Girls Club.
