Notes for the Week - March 7th



Open skate at the Fanetti Community Center & Dunn County Ice Arena is closed for the season.


 

Save the Date: The bEAT concert sponsored by Stepping Stones will be on July 6th this year. Enjoy free live music by Uncommon Denominator before the fireworks.


 

Recently there was a presentation at Dragon Tale Books by Heather Wood and Chase Cummings about the ground water study that was done in Dunn County. If you missed it, you can watch a video recording HERE. You can find links to some of the information referenced HERE.

Cut Rite Meat Shoppe will be closed March 11th-13th for Spring Break.


 

6th Avenue Cidery will be closed March 13th -16th for Spring Break.


 

Ted's Pizza will be closed Sunday March 10th through Thursday March 14th for Spring Break. They will reopen on Friday March 14th at 11:00 am.


 

The Shirley Doane Senior Center will be closed on Good Friday, March 29th.


 




Tim Bell is Dragon Tale Books Artist of the Month. His watercolors will be on display throughout March.


 

Save the Date: The Menomonie Middle School Choir and Drama will be presenting Monty Python's Spamalot on May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Dr. Kevin Matthe Caramancion, assistant professor at UW Stout, and Dr. David Ding, a UW-Stout professor serving on the Governor’s Task Force on Workforce and Artificial Intelligence made an appearance on Wisconsin Public Radio to discuss the potential benefits and drawbacks of AI systems in fact-checking news stories. The Local News Group, a grassroots volunteer group, is inviting Dunn County residents to take a brief local news survey. This survey will help them find ways to bring more local news to residents. You can take the survey HERE.
