This weekend is Destination Weekend at UW-Stout. The annual Fashion Without Fabric show is this Saturday, April 11th, at 7 pm, in the Memorial Student Center Great Hall.  Here's a VIDEO that was posted on the UW-Stout SOAD Facebook page with a behind-the-scenes look. Find more information about Destination Weekend HERE.

As the weather gets nicer and nicer, we are looking for volunteers to adopt the gardens in front of our households!  There isn't a set time for this program, so volunteers can come whenever they have extra time. Our residents love looking out the dining room windows and enjoying the plants and flowers, so we would love to keep them looking nice for them throughout the year.

Households that have yet to be adopted include:

  • Tender Hearth

  • Eastbrook

  • Inglenook

  • Red Cedar

  • Deerview

  • Fireside

If you or a group that you are part of would be interested in adopting one (or more) of our household gardens, please contact Alyssa Stelter - astelter@dunncountywi.gov -

for more volunteer details.

Street Sweeping: Cleaner Streets, Cleaner Water

This Earth Month, we're highlighting the great work across departments the City does to protect our natural resources. This includes street sweeping! This process removes sand, debris, and trash from our roads, helping prevent pollution from entering storm drains and protecting our lakes, rivers, and streams. After collection, debris is sorted, with trash and larger materials sent to the landfill. The remaining material is tested and safely reused according to DNR guidelines. We appreciate our Street Department for helping maintain clean streets and protecting our local waterways!

This year, the MHS dance team had their best ever showing at state, finishing 4th in Hip Hop. Here is a VIDEO of their performance.
