Wisconsin is going to be the first state in the country to launch the new summer Electronic Benefit Transfer, or EBT, program by the USDA. Watch this newsclip from WQOW to learn more.


Menomonie Baseball Association has scheduled an Earth Day Park Clean Up Day for Saturday April 20th at the Wakanda Park baseball diamonds. Start time is 8 am. Anyone is welcome to help, bring a rake!


Tyra Boettcher Swanson has been named the new head coach of the MHS girls basketball team. Storm Harmon resigned from this coaching position after the end of the season.

A young woman from Bloomer (my hometown), Kyra Arndt, wrote and directed a full-length film that you can find on Amazon Prime. It is not free, but you can rent in for $1.99. The movie is called Lexicon and I highly recommend it!
