Norman “Norm” LaVern Herman

June 5th 1935 – April 26, 2026


Norman “Norm” Herman affectionately known as “Stormin Norman” age 90 of Whitehall, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on April 26th 2026 in Plum City Wisconsin, surrounded by his loving family.


Norm was born on June 5th 1935 in Whitehall, to Rudolph & Lillian Herman. He spent his life deeply rooted in the community he loved, while also embracing opportunities that took him far beyond it. A man of many talents and passions, Norm developed a love for music at a young age that would shape much of his life. After graduating high school he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his service, he pursued his passion for music alongside his brother Ralph, and together they founded the beloved band, The Rhythm Playboys, bringing joy and entertainment to countless audiences.


Norm furthered his career by attending Brown Institute for Broadcasting, launching a successful and dynamic journey in radio. Over the years he shared his voice and personality with listeners at stations including WAXX, WRDN, WWIB, KMWB and WHTL before eventually retiring.
