MFD receives Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Certificate of Appreciation

On June 2, 2025, the Menomonie Fire Department was proud to receive the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Certificate of Appreciation, presented by ESGR volunteer Martha Stratton.

ESGR is a Department of Defense program that fosters strong relationships between civilian employers and their National Guard and Reserve employees. This award recognizes the Fire Department's ongoing support of its firefighters and paramedics who have served, including Lieutenant Travis Nessel, an active member of the Reserves. We’re proud to stand behind those who serve our community and our country.
