The Menomonie Theater Guild is proud to announce the final show of our 2023-2024 season, coming in May: Arsenic and Old Lace.
A dark comedy revolving around Mortimer Brewster, who discovers one day his sweet aunts have been kindly poisoning lonely older men in an effort to end their suffering and help them transition from their corporeal form. All was business as usual until Mortimer’s career criminal brother, Jonathan, returns on the night his sweet old aunts were planning on having a funeral for one of their recent charity recipients. Mortimer must find a way to protect his family from the law and from themselves- all while trying to keep his own sanity. A comedic tale of murder to uplift one’s spirit during troubled times!

Arsenic & Old Lace was written by Joseph Kesselring in 1939. The MTG Production this spring will be performed at the Historic Mabel Tainter Theater and is directed by Jared Robinson.
