At 8:43 PM on Monday, July 27, 2026, a crash occurred on I-94 EB at Mile Marker 59 in EAU CLAIRE County near EAU CLAIRE. 

Assisting agencies included Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office and Eau Claire Fire and EMS. 

The crash involved 1 fatality. Vehicle and occupant information, if available, is on the last page(s). 

The details of the crash are as follows: 

Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 94 east bound near mile marker 59. Initial investigation indicates the vehicle left the roadway into the right ditch, rolled multiple times and came to final rest on its roof. The driver was removed from the vehicle by Fire and EMS personnel. No other occupants were located in the vehicle. The driver was transported to Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire where they were pronounced deceased. The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of the family. This crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
