MAKE IT! Schedule
September 3: Chemistry of Color Lab Investigate how color can change, separate or react through quick chemistry stations. The lab will include pH color changes, chromatography, UV color effects and simple color-mixing exploration.
September 10: Balance Sculpture Build Design and build small sculptures that balance in surprising ways. You’ll combine art and physics while experimenting with weight, symmetry and center of mass. Balance sculptures are engineered to rest perfectly on a single focal point, often using precise physics, counterweights or kinetic movement to defy gravity.
September 17: Make a Weather Station Build simple weather tools and learn how people measure wind, rain, temperature and cloud conditions. Stations can include a wind vane, rain gauge, weather wheel or a simple barometer.
September 24: LEGO Mosaic Mural Work individually or together to create mosaic-style designs using LEGO bricks or tiles. Explore patterning, color planning, teamwork and collaborative art-making.
