Lori Virginia Sabby-Lemke (Reidt)

Lori Virginia Sabby-Lemke (Reidt), age 65, of Menomonie, WI passed away after a 3-year battle with Glioblastoma, on July 23, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 19, 1959, in Menomonie, WI to Donovan Reidt and Janice Reidt (Thompson). She grew up in the Menomonie area and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1977.

Lori was married to Art Seeger in 1977 and to this union they had one child, Shannon; they later divorced. In 1983, she married Dan Sabby and to this union they had one child, Dustin; they later divorced. In 1996, she married Rod Larson, and they later divorced. In 2014 she married Tom Lemke, after being together for 17 years. Lori was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran church all her life.

She obtained an associate degree in Law Enforcement from CVTC. During her life, Lori worked as a Dunn County Deputy Sheriff, raised orphaned baby deer for the Lion’s game park, did homecare, worked in nursing homes, and dedicated her life to taking care of Dustin, her special needs son.

In recent years, Lori and Tom enjoyed motorcycling on their individual motorcycles, traveling through their timeshare, and the last few years camping and pontooning at Island Lake.

Lori is survived by her husband Tom, her children Shannon Seeger and Dustin (Dusty) Sabby, stepdaughters Valerie (Josh) Svejcar, Nicole Verdon, step grandchildren Morgan and Everett Svejcar, Hunter, Abigail & Cody Verdon. She is further survived by brothers Robert Reidt and Dennis Reidt, sisters Sue Fedderly and Carol Shindler, sister-in-law Linda Reidt (Jerry Walton) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donovan and Janice, brother Donovan (Butch), and brother-in-law Dale Shindler.

A celebration of Lori’s life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Sarah Miller officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Ford Cemetery in Menomonie, WI.
