Judith M. O'Dell

Judith May O'Dell, born on April 6, 1937, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 88.

She is survived by her nieces, Anne (Dennis) Volbrecht, Debby (Don) Johnson, Victoria (Mike) Arnold, Martha (Lee Clark) Brandly, and nephew, Steve (Cora) Brandly.

She is also survived by grand and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Carl and May Victoria Brandly; husband, John O'Dell who she married on February 26, 1977; brother, Dr. Charles Brandly, DVM, and nephew, Michael Brandly.

Judith was a connoisseur of the arts. She loved opera and classical music and was a member of DuPage Choral at College of DuPage for many years and made some wonderful friends there. She appreciated fine art and collected when she could. She took photos at any and all events and shared them with others for their memories. After retiring from Loyola University Medical Center, she started working at The Framemakers frame shop. It was a joy for her to be in that part of the art world and bring beautiful things into the perfect format.

In 2018, Judith moved to Beacon hill retirement community. She made many friends there and enjoyed all the complex had to offer.

Her quick wit and quirky sense of humor will be missed by all.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday May 15, 2026 at Grace Episcopal Church in Menomonie, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax, WI.
