Jerome (Jerry) Neal Hendrickson, 79, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025. He was born on December 13, 1945, to Louis and Margaret (Ferris) Hendrickson of Osceola, Wisconsin, and grew up working side-by-side with his three brothers on the family farm—a place where he learned the value of hard work, humor, and lending a hand whenever it was needed.
After high school, Jerry attended Chippewa Valley Technical College, earning a degree in air conditioning and refrigeration. His skills took him around the world while serving in the U.S. Army, with assignments in Thailand and Germany. Upon returning home, he furthered his education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin–Stout.
In 1971, Jerry married the love of his life, Ruth Elaine Faber. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and the busy joy of raising three children. His deep curiosity and creative spirit showed in his passions—photography, music, and finding beauty in nature and everyday moments.
Jerry’s career included working for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, NY; Tiller Refrigeration of Menomonie; the Menomonie School System; and Dunn Energy Cooperative. Wherever he worked, he was known for his dependability, warm smile, and willingness to help.
He had a gift for connecting with people, and his friendships extended into the Amish community, where he was welcomed and valued.
Jerry will be remembered for his quiet strength, his steady presence, humor, and the way he captured the world through the lens of his camera.
He is survived by his children Jerin Hendrickson, Jolana (Jaime) Rojo, and Jason Hendrickson; and his grandchildren Ramon Rojo, Jaida Rose Rojo, and Annie Lee Hendrickson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Chaplain Bonnie Geurkink officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with food and refreshments available. Interment will be held at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI at a later date.
