Jason Retzloff age 28, of Boyceville, WI passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 15, 2026, In North Carolina.


He was born October 12th, 1997 in Menomonie, WI to Tom and Karen Retzloff. He graduated from Boyceville High School in 2016. He enjoyed his career at Ford, where a promotion brought him out of state.


Jason married Kenzie Standaert on November 8th,2025 in North Carolina where they had resided together with their two cats Winston and Binkerton. The two of them enjoyed long road trips where Jason practiced his famous air-drumming. They enjoyed nights out at the casino, finding a place with karaoke, and a good game of blackjack. He loved encouraging anyone who would listen to grab a double cheeseburger with extra butter from his favorite restaurant, Schulz's in Sheboygan, WI. He found joy in encouraging anyone playing live music to play Free Bird, regardless of the band or genre. He loved his wife, music, and his family. He was known to walk into the room at family gatherings and make a point to always be the loudest one in the room and tell a few corny dad jokes. He was often wearing something between a button-down Hawaiian shirt, to a collared shirt and tie for no apparent reason. He enjoyed tormenting his siblings and roughhousing with his niece and nephews. He was a big personality that made every outing much more interesting.


Jason is survived by his wife Kenzie (Standaert) Retzloff of River Falls; mother Karen (Kramer) Retzloff and stepfather Kane Johnson of Boyceville, brother CJ Retzloff and his wife Allison (Drane) Retzloff of Elk Mound, sister Amber Retzloff of Marietta Georgia, niece and nephews Lacey, Austin, and Calvin (CJ & Allison) Retzloff, grandmother Karen (Wolf) Retzloff of Colfax WI, in-laws Jason and Marion Standaert, grandparent in-laws Lani Standaert, Ward Anderson, Gary and Nora Larrabee, as well as many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.


He was preceded in death by his Father Thomas Retzloff, Grandparents Jack and Diane Kramer, Carl (Buck) Retzloff.


Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, Wisconsin, which is officiated by Paster Brad Peterson.
