Jane S. Smith

Jane Suzanne Smith, passed away Thursday, September 11, at Apple Valley Village in Apple Valley, MN.

Born March 27, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN to Irv and Florence (Dahlgren) Halverson, Jane graduated from Menomonie High School and the College of St. Scholastica with a degree in Medical Records Administration. Jane married Jerry Smith on September 11, 1965. Jane worked at Myrtle Werth Medical Center/Mayo Hospital in Menomonie for over 40 years.

Jane is survived by her sons Greg and Ryan, their wives, grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, her brother Ron, and her parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Apple Valley Village and Grace Hospice for all the kindness and support during the past few weeks.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 18th at Noon at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Mary Eide officiating. There will be visitation two hours prior to the service at the church. Refreshments to follow the service. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in the Town of Dunn at a later time.
